The National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) has called for a Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) databank of all Nigerians to help in tackling insecurity and healthcare challanges.
NABDA’ s Director General, Prof Bamidele Solomon, made the call in an interview with newsmen in Abuja. While relating DNA to the Dana plane crash, Solomon said that the victims of the crash could have been identified easily if there was a DNA database of the victims. “DNA is a history book that can tell the origin of any species and it’s unique to any individual so we can isolate every species even one on one, he said.
