With the new DNA testing law, which is about to go into effect later this year, Kuwait will become the first country worldwide to require all its citizens and temporary residents to provide DNA samples to the government’s database. Under the new law even tourists would have to provide a DNA sample upon entering the country. This law has sparked outrage with travelers stating that they won’t return to the country „anytime soon“. Meanwhile a legal study on the DNA law, reveals that it contradicts with different articles of the constitution.
