Overview

Taiwan's DNA sampling regulations were amended in 2012 to expand its database. The law allows sampling on arrest of persons suspected of serious offences. Samples are kept for at least ten years and convicted person's DNA profiles until after death. DNA profiles of innocent persons are required to be removed from the database.
