Trinidad & Tobago adopted DNA legislation in 2007, which was revised in 2012, however implementation has been slow. Acccording to Interpol, 246 reference DNA profiles from individuals and 301 crime scene DNA profiles were held in Trinidad & Tobago in 2011.
