Jamaica's DNA database was established in 2002. New legislation was introduced in 2010 but has yet to be adopted.

The 2008 Interpol survey reports that 50 crime scene DNA profiles and 2,607 individuals' profiles, plus 2 unknown/deceased DNA profiles were held in Jamaica at the time of the survey.
