The DNA Profiling Bill looks to legalize the collection and analysis of DNA samples for forensic purposes and the creation of a national database. The Bill was developed further by an expert committee before being considered by parliament. However, a new draft Bill was scheduled to be submitted to Parliament in summer 2015 despite dissent from some members of the committee, who stated that their concerns had not been fully addressed.  See below for further details.
